What a Grease Trap Maintenance Plan Includes

Every scheduled maintenance plan is tailored to your business, but all plans include:

  • Custom schedule based on your trap size, kitchen volume, and council requirements
  • Advance reminders before each scheduled service so you are never caught off-guard
  • Priority booking for plan customers - your slot is secured ahead of general bookings
  • Full cleaning service at every visit - vacuum extraction, scrubbing, and inspection
  • Licensed waste disposal included with every clean
  • Service documentation for your compliance records after every visit
  • Technician assessment at each service with advice on trap condition and any concerns
  • Flexible frequency adjustment if your business volume changes

The Easiest Way to Stay Compliant

Auckland Council requires commercial food preparation businesses to have their grease traps cleaned regularly - typically every 3 months, though high-volume operations may need more frequent service. Keeping track of this alongside everything else involved in running a busy kitchen is easier said than done.

A scheduled maintenance plan with I SUK UP Ltd removes that burden entirely. We set the schedule based on your trap size, kitchen volume, and council requirements. We send reminders before your service is due. We book the job and our technicians show up. You receive your service documentation. Done.

Our maintenance plan customers benefit from consistent compliance, priority booking, and the peace of mind that comes from knowing their grease trap is never going to cause an unexpected shutdown. Since 1989, we have been the trusted choice for commercial kitchen compliance across Auckland's North Shore, West Auckland, and Rodney.

Which Businesses Benefit Most from a Maintenance Plan?

  • Restaurants and cafes with high daily food preparation volume
  • Hotels and accommodation venues with commercial kitchen facilities
  • Takeaway and fast food operators with consistent high-grease output
  • Workplace and school canteens that operate on fixed schedules
  • Bars and function venues with variable but regular usage
  • Multi-site food businesses that need consistent compliance across locations
  • Any commercial kitchen that wants to remove grease trap compliance from the to-do list

Signs You Need a Maintenance Plan

  • You cannot remember the last time your grease trap was cleaned
  • You have received a compliance notice from Auckland Council
  • Your kitchen has experienced blockages or slow drains that keep recurring
  • You are booking cleans reactively after problems arise rather than proactively
  • Your current provider does not offer scheduled servicing
  • Staff turnover means compliance tasks fall through the cracks

Maintenance Plan Pricing

Maintenance plan pricing is based on your grease trap size, service frequency, and location. Our standard rate applies to traps up to 1,000 litres. Additional costs may apply for:

  • Trap capacity over 1,000 litres
  • Location - properties at the outer boundary of our service area may incur a travel surcharge
  • Increased frequency - if your kitchen volume requires more frequent cleans

Payment is required on completion of each service. We have EFTPOS on our trucks. An invoice is provided after each visit.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I know what maintenance frequency my business needs?

Auckland Council requires most commercial kitchens to clean their grease traps every 3 months. High-volume operations - such as large restaurants or hotel kitchens - may need monthly or bi-monthly service. When you sign up for a maintenance plan, our technicians will assess your trap size and kitchen output and recommend the right frequency.

What happens if I need a service outside my scheduled visit?

If you experience a grease trap issue between scheduled services, call us on 027 239 2167. We provide same-day emergency service Monday to Saturday and prioritise maintenance plan customers. Emergency call-outs are charged separately from your regular plan.

Do maintenance plan customers get priority booking?

Yes. Maintenance plan customers receive priority scheduling. Your regular service slots are secured ahead of general bookings, which is particularly valuable during busy periods when demand is high.

Can I adjust my maintenance plan frequency if my business changes?

Yes. If your kitchen volume increases or decreases, we can adjust your service schedule accordingly. Simply contact us and we will update your plan. We want your maintenance frequency to reflect your actual needs, not a fixed contract.

Will you remind me when my next service is due?

Yes. We contact you in advance before each scheduled service to confirm timing and access. You should never have to chase us or track the date yourself - that is the whole point of having a plan in place.

What documentation will I receive for compliance purposes?

After every scheduled service, we provide a service record confirming the date of clean, trap details, and that waste was disposed of at a licensed facility. This documentation is suitable for Auckland Council compliance records and any internal audits.
