Why a Scheduled Maintenance Plan Makes Sense

Most septic tank problems don't happen overnight - they build up slowly over months and years of neglect. A buried lid, a forgotten service date, or a tank that's quietly filling beyond capacity can turn into a costly emergency at the worst possible time. A scheduled maintenance plan removes all of that uncertainty.

With a plan in place, we handle the scheduling, reminders, and booking. You simply open the door when we arrive. No guesswork, no last-minute panic, no council letters chasing you up. Your system is serviced on time, every time, and you have a documented service history to prove it.

Maintenance plans are tailored to your specific system type and household or business size. Older traditional systems are typically scheduled every three years to meet Auckland Council requirements. Modern Aerated Wastewater Treatment Systems (AWTS) are recommended every six months to maintain warranty compliance. Commercial properties with grease traps may require quarterly or more frequent visits.

Our plans are flexible, affordable, and designed around the realities of North Auckland's diverse property landscape - from urban North Shore properties to rural Rodney lifestyles. Whether you have a single-chamber residential tank or a multi-system commercial property, we can build a plan that fits.

Plan Options for Every Property Type

  • Residential three-year plan - for traditional septic tanks, aligned to Auckland Council requirements
  • AWTS six-monthly plan - for modern aerated wastewater treatment systems
  • Commercial annual or quarterly plan - for businesses with septic tanks, pump stations, or grease traps
  • Custom multi-system plans - for properties with multiple tanks or mixed system types

Maintenance Plan Pricing

Maintenance plan pricing is based on your system type, service frequency, and property location. We'll provide a fixed quote per service visit, with no unexpected charges between visits for standard jobs.

Plan customers benefit from simplified invoicing - a single invoice per visit, EFTPOS available on all trucks. Outer boundary locations such as Matakana, South Head, and Warkworth may have a consistent travel component factored into the plan price.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How does a maintenance plan work?

Once your plan is set up, we schedule your service visits at the agreed frequency and contact you in advance of each visit. You simply confirm the booking and we take care of everything from there - service, inspection, waste disposal, reporting, and council coordination when required.

What happens if something is wrong with my system during a plan visit?

Our technicians will flag any concerns identified during a service visit and advise you on the next steps. Early detection is one of the key benefits of regular servicing - small issues caught early are far less expensive to resolve than emergency failures.

Do maintenance plan customers get priority booking?

Yes. Plan customers receive priority scheduling, particularly during busy periods. This means your service visits are confirmed and secured well in advance, giving you certainty and reducing any wait time compared to one-off booking customers.

Can I set up a plan for a rental property?

Absolutely. Rental property owners find maintenance plans particularly valuable because they ensure documented compliance regardless of tenant turnover. We can coordinate directly with tenants for access and provide the landlord with service records after every visit.

Can I cancel or pause my maintenance plan?

Yes. Plans can be adjusted to reflect changes in your circumstances. Simply contact us and we'll update your schedule accordingly. We don't lock you into rigid contracts - we want the plan to work for you long-term.

Are council inspections included in a maintenance plan?

Yes. When your three-year Auckland Council inspection is due, we coordinate and complete it as part of your plan visit. There is an additional cost for the inspection itself, but we'll remind you well in advance and make the process completely seamless.
