Why the Auckland Council Inspection Matters
Auckland Council introduced mandatory three-year septic tank inspections to protect the region's waterways, soil health, and community hygiene. If you've received a letter from Auckland Council, or it's been three or more years since your last service, you're required by law to act.
Ignoring or delaying your council inspection is not simply an inconvenience - it carries real consequences. Non-compliance can result in enforcement notices, fines, and ultimately council intervention. Beyond the legal risk, an unchecked septic system can overflow, contaminate groundwater, cause costly drain damage, and create serious health hazards for your family and the environment.
At I SUK UP Ltd, council inspections make up over 80% of our work. We're not generalists - we are the specialists. Our technicians are fully trained, council-approved, and equipped to inspect, empty, and lodge your compliance report directly with Auckland Council on the same day.

Systems We Inspect and Service
- Traditional residential septic tanks - single and multi-chamber holding tanks
- Aerated Wastewater Treatment Systems (AWTS)
- Secondary and advanced treatment systems - InnoFlow, Orenco, Biolytix and more
- Non-electric septic systems - gravity-fed systems common in rural North Auckland
- Commercial wastewater plants and pump stations
- Construction site toilet blocks

Yes. Once Auckland Council issues the PDF inspection report, we can provide you with a copy for your records. Simply let us know when booking. This is particularly useful if you're selling or purchasing a property with a septic system.

Yes. I SUK UP Ltd is affiliated with Auckland Council and our technicians are fully qualified to conduct inspections, prepare compliance reports, and file them directly with Auckland Council. We hold certifications in Watercare, water testing, and wastewater treatment.
A regular empty service involves emptying the tank. A council inspection goes further - we physically inspect internal components including baffles, inlets, outlets, and lid condition, and prepare a formal written compliance report filed directly with Auckland Council. A basic empty will not satisfy your legal obligation.
We service all of North Auckland from Matakana to the Auckland Harbour Bridge, and from Bethells Beach and Muriwai across to Warkworth and Puhoi. This includes the North Shore, West Auckland, and Rodney District. Outer boundary areas may incur a small travel surcharge. We do not service south of the Harbour Bridge.
